AMS 6TH GRADER WINS 4TH OF JULY T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

Acton Middle School sixth grader Braeden Whitton was honored by the Granbury Chamber of Commerce on May 17, 2018, for designing the winning entry in the chamber-sponsored Fourth of July celebration’s t-shirt competition.

Making the presentation on behalf of the chamber was marketing and events director Kim Vezo, who spearheads the annual event to be held July 3-4 this year.

The parade will step off on Wednesday, July 4 at 10:00 A.M. from Granbury High School. A spectacular fireworks show will close the holiday that evening.  There will also be a number of activities around the historic courthouse square.

“Granbury’s 4th of July celebration is like no other,” said chamber president Mike Scott. “We offer the hometown atmosphere that families enjoy while presenting excitement for all. This year, with the 4th falling on a Wednesday, we enjoy a unique opportunity to feature all our patriotic events on one day. It’s going to be an Independence Day extravaganza.”
